Benton County thanks 4-H volunteers during National Volunteer Week April 19-25

 The Benton County Extension Office along with the members of Benton County 4-H would like to take this opportunity to thank all the adult and youth volunteers that work so hard all year to make the 4-H program possible.It takes almost 7,000 adult volunteers in Iowa to keep the 4-H program going each year. Benton County 4-H truly values the caring adults who take time out of their busy lives to teach youth about the variety of experiences 4-H has to offer.

Indian Hills Community College Honor Roll 2019-2020 Winter Term

Iowa Lakes Community College Fall Honors List Released

Valerie Newhouse, President of Iowa Lakes Community College, has released the fall honors list of full-time students who have demonstrated academic excellence by earning at least a grade point average of 3.25 (based on a 4.00) or higher.Fall semester students who have achieved a 3.25 grade point average or better are recognized by inclusion on the Dean's list.

UW-Platteville announces Dean's List

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announces its Dean's List, honoring those full-time students who earned high honors in their respective colleges in the fall 2019 semester.The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture and the College of Liberal Arts and Education require grade-point averages of 3.75 and above for Dean's List honors, while the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science requires students to reach at least a 3.

Lions Club continues 86 Year Tradition with Troop 47 Scouts

Vinton's Lions Club and Troop 47 renew Charter for 86th Year The Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area, Glacier National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Smoky Mountains National Park, Philmont Scout Ranch. These, and more, are all High Adventure destinations that the Vinton Scout Troop #47 have been to over the last 10 years. In fact, they attend one such destination every year. This is in addition to all of the local adventures and learning that they are involved in.
